Caricature/portrait of guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan. Fearful of over working it, this one is finished for the moment (keen for comments). Tricky guy to get definitive reference for, as I was aiming for both a likeness, and something of his attitude (this will be part of an exhibition along side traditional portrait painters). Image was produced directly on a Wacom Cintiq - started with the flat pencil for the sketch then worked primarily with some modified gouache brushes (set to mid opacity, I was pleased with the reasonably believable wet feel with these). Keen guitarists may note the significance of the Fender Stratocaster pictured!
